"This One's for Turin!"

We had way too much fun this week.

I was really sad before because I was just missing Muggiò. But I'm doing a lot better. So much good stuff happened!

first things first
I got this sweet Nigerian tribal dress that our investigator made for me.  I was really nervous because I knew I had to buy it and when we went over to my appointment I was telling Sorella Lawrence to not let me buy it if I hated it.

But then she let me pick which one I wanted and right when I tried on the one I have.. I knew..

I just can't describe how cool it is. hahahah.  Right when you put it on you feel 100 times cooler than you were.

Get ready. I've been joking about coming off the plane in it... It's totes comfy too>=)

american
So that's what we did on the Fourth of July! wear African tribal dresses and dance to Mo Tab singing "Circle of Life" (best version).

Also we got kebab. Other than that the Fourth was just a normal missionary day. Our lunch AND dinner appointment cancelled. but it's fine.

one direction
Then on Saturday we went to do a little parko (contacting) at the cute little park next to the Olympic stadium for "power hour" and there were all these tents and a mix between ragazze and ragazze moms. So I was a little confused, but that's nothing new..

We started talking to them and get this.. They were there for the ONE DIRECTION CONCERT!

So we were temporarily no longer concerned about missionary work #oops and our minds were concentrated on the fact that One Direction was coming to TORINO.

Yeah. I know.

So we bought these (overpriced) banner things that all the kiddos put on their heads & switched from teach to finds to English class publicity. It was great. All the raggaze wanted to know what the words mean in the One Direction songs! So we called it a success!

We had to leave because it was getting late even though we wanted so badly to hear a little One Direction before we left... but then in church the next day we found out that my favorite young woman was going to the concert and that it wasn't until later that night! MIRACLES!

So we emergency planned in a little English class publicity that night and brought our 1D banners. Then it started pouring rain and we just had way too much fun. So happy it's an open stadium. The only thing is that they kept calling Torino, "Turin".. weird.  but hey... it's One Direction.. yolo? #sorryimnotsorry

Also we had such a good dinner last night from a part member family & I learned some Piemontese>=)

tanti auguri
&&& TODAY IS SORELLA LAWRENCE'S BIRTHDAY & all she wanted to do was buy a cake from La Romana (goooooood gelato for being a chain) and go saldi shopping.

I had bought her a couple of things last week to give her today and I think it went well..  We went shopping and I bought a couple shirts to go with my new skirts and shoes.  They're all perfect! I got them all at zone training and it was heaven...

Then Camilla showed me how now Instagram can do videos like Vine.... whhhaaattttt?! mind blown.

p.s. a member once told us to try Nutella e tonno con pane (Nutella and tuna on bread) ..I threw up.  Most of the time they have good recommendations.. but never again.

Also I found SOUR CREAM! It's called panna acida for Kait to know.. if you could send more ranch packets<3

Kaitlin: I can't believe you got spaced! That's weird because a sister from this mission just got death space transferred from a trio...

If that happened to me..I couldn't do it... just send me straight home, I'd die.

I don't know what else to say.. I'm having fun & we're working hard, I swear, hahah.  Stop telling me to "finish strong" because I already know.

It's just that sometimes One Direction is playing in your city a block away from your house...

Love you long time da Torino,

Sorella O'Connor

Hello Torino

Torino is great.  My companion is the living best.  She's a 25 year old graphic designer who knows everything about all the things I like. Courtney Lawrence.  She's helping me with all my after mission life catch-ups.

We work so well together and we're happy.  Our list of pday activities are never ending.  We want to do it all in the next 6 weeks because there is no way President will let us have this much fun in 12...

She's going to help me out with my going home outfit #yolo.

One of the best things about Torino is our apartment.  It's huge.  I HAVE MY OWN BATHROOM.  There's a laundry room (still no dryers, but drying racks), and my own closet room.  But we still share a bedroom (white handbook rules), two balconies, a kitchen, and study room that is basically a ballroom.  It's niccceeeee!

Because the Olympics were in Torino, all the public transportation is pretty nice... I still hate the bus, but whatever.  And we have a meal appt. for the Fourth of July. #godblessamerica

So we were in a lesson yesterday and the member we brought took out her iPhone..... and she can unlock her phone... get this... WITH HER FINGERPRINT. mind blown...#flippingtables

Also I spent so much money at this store called TIGER.  I think it's Swedish... it's the best... Everything I bring back is going to be from there. Europe things are the best.

Although it was super sad to leave Muggiò... I'm doing well here.  I think I'll make it.

Love you all long time,

Sorella Paige O'Connor.
